I have a terrible memory. I have come to terms with this and have taken steps to ensure I remember the things I think are/thought were worth remembering. I collect and hoard tokens to act as signifiers. These material objects are kept in boxes and on shelves, a much safer place for my memory than my own brain. (Radiolab: Memory and Forgetting). By externalising my memories into physicality, deleting them requires only a want and a bin-bag.
