I was finding it difficult to sleep last night, when I get into bed I usually play some sort of thought game to clear my mind of any big ideas that would keep me up. I play one where I select a category and go through the alphabet, assigning one thing to each letter. I was going through video game names and was doing great until I got stuck on 'Y'. I kept going over the same small amount of words beginning with 'Y'; "yellow", "your", "yard", "young", "yearning". It felt like my mind was stuck like a machine, and I was starting to give myself a headache. So I took some paracetamol and fell asleep around 4. I woke up at about 6:30 and felt hungry, Sara was (and is) still asleep so I didn't want to make too much noise. I decided I wanted to go out and then I decided I wanted to photograph where the floor meeting a vertical object. Above is my edited series. There's something hugely refreshing in creating such a fast, natural series of images.
