As the Liverpool Biennial gets under way I've seen the first set of exhibitions that really interest me. The Royal Standard is a gallery I have only just became aware of.

"'This Matter' is an exploration into the physical nature of landscapes, drawing together the changing ideas of what is natural and unnatural within our everyday surroundings."

This is an idea that really fascinates me, I think now more than ever there is great discussion about just how much or little man relates to nature. What surely isn't debatable it man's huge impact on nature, for better or for worse.
